Can kidney stones cause kidney infection?

I have kidney stones, and recently I've been having chills and a dull ache in my back, along with some burning sensation while urinating. Could these be signs of a kidney infection caused by the stones? I'm feeling unwell.

Yes, they absolutely can. A stone blocking the urine flow allows bacteria to grow rapidly, which can travel up to the kidney. Please get a urine routine test and ultrasound done immediately to be safe.

Bro, I had a kidney infection last year because of a stupid 8mm stone. Had high fever and chills out of nowhere. Don't wait around, if you feel feverish, go to the doc immediately.

Haan, bilkul ho sakta hai yaar. Patthari jab rasta block karti hai toh infection ka khatra bohot badh jata hai na. Doctor ko dikhake antibiotic shuru kar lo agar thoda bhi jalan lag raha hai toh.

Kidney stones and infections often go hand in hand. The stone acts like a barrier, keeping urine trapped, which is a perfect breeding ground for bacteria. Drink plenty of water and make sure you complete your doctor's prescribed treatment.

In my experience, keeping the body hydrated and practicing gentle yoga like Ushtrasana helps, but stones can indeed cause infections. If there is pain or fever, it is a sign of infection, and you must seek medical advice immediately.

Don't try to cure a kidney infection with online herbal remedies. It can turn into a serious medical emergency like sepsis very quickly. Get a proper urine culture done at a lab and consult a qualified urologist.

Haan na, kidney stones se infection hone ka darr humesha rehta hai. Agar urine pass karne mein thoda bhi burning ho raha hai, toh turant doc ko dikha lo. Paani jyada se jyada piyo.

I ignored a mild backache thinking it was just muscle strain, but it was a stone causing a silent kidney infection. I ended up in the hospital with severe chills and dehydration. Please don't repeat my mistake, get a checkup done now.

I tried drinking barley water and lemon juice for my stones, but when the infection started, nothing but antibiotics helped. Home remedies are great for prevention, but for active infections, please trust your doctor.

I panicked like crazy when my doctor said I had a kidney infection due to stones. But with a short course of antibiotics and clearing the stone, my kidney recovered 100%. It is very common and easily manageable.
