Can kidney stones cause heartburn?

Along with my kidney stone pain, I've been experiencing a lot of heartburn recently. Could the kidney stones be the reason for this heartburn, or is it just a coincidence? It's quite uncomfortable after meals.

Yes, the stress from kidney pain can lead to acidity and heartburn. Since I have diabetes, I have to be very careful and avoid sugary antacids or carbonated drinks to soothe it. Stick to plain warm water and simple, non-spicy meals.

You can try chewing on a few fennel seeds (saunf) or sipping cold milk to calm the heartburn. However, if the chest pain is very severe or accompanied by shortness of breath, please go to a hospital immediately as it could be something more serious.

I have been getting this sharp burning sensation in my chest along with my kidney stone pain, and it's making me really nervous. Did anyone else experience bad heartburn or acid reflux during their stone episode?

Haan na, during my kidney stone I had such bad heartburn and acidity, it was so annoying. The pain makes the stomach go crazy. Just try to eat very light food and don't lie down immediately after eating.

I know how uncomfortable this is, dear. The pain and the strong medicines we take for stones can really upset the stomach lining, causing bad heartburn. Drinking fresh coconut water or barley water worked wonders for me to cool down the system.
