Can kidney stones cause gastric problems?

My doctor said I have a kidney stone, and since then, I've been having various gastric problems, like indigestion and discomfort. Are these gastric issues related to the kidney stones, or is it a separate issue I need to worry about?

I was diagnosed with a kidney stone recently and my stomach has been feeling very upset and acidic. Is this a common thing that happens to everyone, or should I be asking my doctor about a separate stomach issue?

At 50, my body finds any excuse to give me acidity, but during my kidney stone it was next level! The pain basically shuts down the stomach and makes you feel super bloated. Keep some antacids handy and avoid the spicy samosas for now.

Yes child, I remember having terrible nausea and bloating when I had my stones thirty years ago. It is just the body's way of reacting to the severe renal pain, so don't be scared. Drink simple barley water and rest well.

Definitely, the intense pain triggers a stress response that slows down gut motility, causing gastric issues. If you are not in acute pain and your doctor permits, a gentle walk in the evening can really help stimulate digestion and ease the bloating.

Hey, don't stress too much about it! Gastric trouble like bloating and nausea is super common with kidney stones because the nerves are all interconnected down there. Just stick to light food and drink lots of fluids, you'll be fine!

I went to CIMS Hospital for my treatment and the urologist clearly explained that kidney pain often mimics gastric pain due to shared nerve pathways. I strongly advise you to ask your doctor for a proper diagnosis so they can prescribe the right medication.
