Can kidney stones cause extreme fatigue?

Been dealing with these kidney stones for a while now, and the fatigue is just unbearable. I'm wondering if this extreme tiredness is connected, or if there's something else going on. Ghar ka kaam bhi nahi ho pa raha properly.

I had a 6mm stone last year and the fatigue was unreal, I could barely stand. My tip is to drink warm water with a squeeze of lemon and focus on electrolyte balance because dehydration makes the fatigue ten times worse. Definitely get a scan done to track the stone size.

Extreme fatigue is indeed a common secondary symptom because of the pain, disturbed sleep, and the stress response of your kidneys. But since fatigue can also indicate a urinary tract infection or kidney strain, consulting your doctor for a blood test is the safest route.

Since I have diabetes, when I had kidney stones, the fatigue was double because my sugar levels were also fluctuating due to the stress. Keep checking your sugars regularly if you have diabetes, and avoid those sweet energy drinks to beat the fatigue. Stick to plain water or unsweetened lime water.

Actually yes yaar, the fatigue is crazy. Last month when I had kidney stones, I was sleeping for 10 hours and still waking up totally exhausted. It's because your body is constantly dealing with internal inflammation, so don't push yourself too hard.

Don't be afraid, child. I had severe stones back in my 40s and remember feeling completely wiped out, like I couldn't even lift a finger. It is just your body putting all its strength into healing, so eat simple food and rest well, this phase will pass.

Look, when your kidneys are struggling with a stone, the body's fluid balance gets disrupted, which directly affects your energy levels. Keep tabs on your urine color and if you feel extremely dizzy, let your doctor know. Make sure you are drinking enough water but don't overhydrate in one go.

It can really drain you. During this time, make sure you are eating light, easily digestible vegetarian meals like khichdi to not load your system. Avoid too much spinach or tomatoes right now just to be safe with oxalates, and keep yourself well hydrated.
