Can kidney stones cause elevated creatinine?

My recent blood work showed that my creatinine levels are a bit high. I also have a small kidney stone. Could the stone be responsible for this elevated creatinine, or are these two issues usually unrelated?

Yes, if a kidney stone is blocking the flow of urine, it can cause pressure to build up and temporarily elevate your creatinine levels. Since high creatinine can indicate kidney strain or damage, you must get it checked by a urologist for safety immediately.

Hello! Yes, when a stone blocks the urinary tract, the kidney cannot filter waste properly, which leads to a spike in creatinine. Once the blockage is cleared, the levels usually go back to normal. Please consult a doctor to get an ultrasound and blood test done.

I literally just recovered from this. My creatinine shot up to 1.8 because a 7mm stone was blocking my right ureter. After the doctor cleared the blockage, my creatinine came back to 1.0 within a week. Go get a kidney function test and see a urologist soon.

I absolutely panicked when my blood report showed high creatinine during my kidney stone episode, thinking my kidneys were failing. But my doctor reassured me that it was just a temporary block and it became normal right after the stone passed. Don't worry too much!

See, high creatinine is a sign that your kidneys are struggling thoda, and a blocking stone is often the reason. Don't ignore this report or try home remedies now. Go straight to a good doctor and let them treat the blockage properly.

My son's creatinine level went up thoda when he had a large kidney stone blocking his urine passage. We were very scared, but the doctor explained it was due to the block and it came down once the stone was removed. Please make sure they get a proper checkup.

Ah, kidney stones always come with some extra drama like elevated creatinine. If the stone is acting like a speed breaker for your urine, your creatinine levels will definitely jump up. Get a doctor to look at the reports so they can clear the road for your kidneys.
