Can kidney stones cause acid reflux?

I've been struggling with bad acid reflux for a few months now, and doctors haven't found a clear cause. I also have a history of kidney stones. Is there any remote possibility that kidney stones could trigger acid reflux?

While acid reflux isn't a direct symptom of kidney stones, the intense pain and stress from stones can definitely mess up your stomach and trigger acidity. It's always best to consult your doctor to understand if they are linked or if it's two separate issues. Don't self-medicate for both together without professional advice.

Honestly, the body does weird things when it's under stress. I track my gut health on my app and noticed that severe pain can throw your digestion completely off, which might lead to bad acid reflux. Definitely keep an eye on your symptoms and check if the pain and acidity flare up together.

My son had a small kidney stone last year and he kept complaining about a burning throat and nausea. The doctor explained that severe physical pain causes a lot of stress which delays digestion and triggers reflux. Please make sure they get enough rest and have light, home-cooked meals till it settles.

As if kidney stone pain wasn't a big enough party, now acid reflux wants to join in too! It is actually quite common for extreme pain to make your stomach feel like a boiling volcano. Drink lots of water and talk to a doctor before your stomach starts singing operatic solos.

I had a similar issue when I was dealing with my stone. The constant dull ache made me so anxious that I got terrible acidity and couldn't eat anything. Sipping on cold milk or coconut water helped calm my stomach thoda, but do ask your doc once.
