Can kidney stones cause a bladder infection?

I've been getting frequent bladder infections lately, which is really frustrating. I also have a history of kidney stones. I'm trying to figure out if there's a connection; can kidney stones actually lead to bladder infections?

Yes, kidney stones can scrape the lining of the urinary tract and also block urine, creating a breeding ground for bacteria. Please get a urine culture and routine test done immediately to ensure it doesn't spread further.

Yes, they certainly can. When I had a stone years ago, it blocked the urine flow slightly, which caused bacteria to build up and led to an infection. Don't worry, a simple course of antibiotics from the doctor cleared it up quickly.

Haan bilkul, pathri ki wajah se infection hona bahut common hai. Agar urine pass karte waqt jalan ho rahi hai ya fever aa raha hai, toh ghar pe mat baitho. Seedha doctor ke paas jao aur checkup karwao.

Actually yes yaar, kidney stones and UTIs go hand in hand sometimes. The stone blocks the normal flow, so the stagnant urine gets infected. If you are feeling that burning sensation, better get a urine test done fast.

I have been having this burning sensation and lower back ache for three days now. My doctor said it might be an infection caused by a small stone. Did anyone else here also get high fever with their bladder infection? I'm a bit scared.

Yes, I have seen many people in this community complain of bladder infections due to kidney stones. The stone can cause minor cuts inside or hold back urine, which leads to bacteria. Drink coconut water and consult your physician for proper antibiotics.

I completely understand how terrifying it is when you start feeling burning pain along with stone symptoms. It is very common for stones to trigger UTI or bladder infections because of blocked urine. Please don't panic, it is highly treatable once the doctor sees the report.

Yes, they can. When a stone gets stuck or irritates the bladder walls, bacteria can grow easily. Keep drinking plenty of water to flush things out, but you will likely need a doctor to prescribe an antibiotic to clear the infection safely.
