Can kidney stones be detected in blood test?

My blood tests came back and the doctor said some levels were off. I'm wondering if a regular blood test can actually detect kidney stones, or if it just shows general abnormalities related to kidney function.

They can't see the stone itself in blood, but tests check things like high calcium or uric acid which cause them. I always keep my hydration on point to avoid these issues. If you train hard and sweat a lot, make sure you're drinking enough water daily.

I was so scared when my dad had to get blood tests done for this. It actually checks how well your kidneys are filtering wastes while dealing with a stone. Don't worry too much, just follow what the doctor says and it will be fine.

The blood test is useful to check if high levels of calcium or uric acid are causing the problem. Sometimes a heavy vegetarian diet with too much spinach or tomatoes can trigger oxalate issues in some people. Better to consult a dietitian along with your doctor once you get the reports.

Having thyroid issues has taught me that blood tests are essential to understand what's happening inside. For stones, a blood test checks your calcium and kidney function levels. Definitely follow up with your doctor regularly to monitor these numbers.

I totally get it, waiting for medical answers can be so stressful. A blood test won't directly show a stone, but it helps doctors see if your kidney function is normal or if there's an infection. Take a deep breath, you are taking the right steps by getting it checked.

When I was dealing with severe kidney pain, I felt so helpless and kept wondering if my tests would show anything at all. The blood test won't find the stone, but it validates if your kidneys are under stress. It is a tough phase, but hang in there, it gets better.

Listen, don't stress yourself out reading random things online. A blood test is just to check your kidney health and chemical levels, not to find the physical stone. Let the doctors do their job, they will probably ask for a scan to be 100% sure. Just rest now.
