Can kidney problems affect your eyes?

My father has had kidney problems for years, and now he's also having issues with his vision. We're trying to understand if there's any link. Can kidney problems impact eye health or cause vision issues?

Please don't ignore this. I noticed puffy eyes and blurred vision years ago but just blamed my laptop screen, only to find out later it was high blood pressure from kidney issues. Get a proper checkup done before things get complicated.

Don't fall for random online blogs telling you to drink herbal juices for eye puffiness caused by kidney issues. If your kidneys are filtering poorly, it is a serious issue that only a qualified medical doctor should treat. Go get tested.

My father's nephrologist at Apollo explained that chronic kidney disease can damage the blood vessels in the eyes, especially if diabetes is also there. Please book an appointment at a good hospital and get a clear diagnosis.

Yes, kidney issues can cause fluid retention, which often shows up as puffy eyes in the morning. If your doctor clears you, light cardio or a brisk daily walk can really help improve your overall circulation and fluid balance.

Yes, fluid buildup and high blood pressure from kidney problems can affect your vision and cause swelling around the eyes. Save your time and skip the endless web searches. Book a combined kidney and eye checkup this weekend.

I totally get it, seeing changes in your eyes can be so scary and stressful. Kidney issues can definitely cause some puffiness or blurry vision due to blood pressure changes. Take a deep breath and schedule a visit with your physician.

For mild puffiness under the eyes, keeping cucumber slices or cold tea bags helps a bit. But if you have actual vision changes or persistent swelling, home remedies won't work. You must see a doctor immediately to check your kidney health.

I have been waking up with really swollen eyelids lately and I'm starting to worry if it's my kidneys. Has anyone else experienced this symptom? Did it go away after starting treatment?
