Can kidney issues cause high blood pressure?

My BP has been consistently high even with medication, and my doctor is now looking into my kidney health. He mentioned a possible link. Can kidney issues actually be a cause for high blood pressure?

Beta, kidneys and blood pressure are very closely related. When kidneys are weak, they can't balance the fluids and salt properly, which raises the pressure. While you can drink a little garlic water in the morning to help, you must strictly follow the doctor's proper BP medicines.

Listen, this is a direct connection. If your kidneys aren't filtering properly, fluid builds up and your blood pressure shoots up. Don't play around with home remedies here. Go get a proper kidney function test and BP checkup done today.

I have been managing this for five years now. Kidney issues definitely cause high blood pressure, and high blood pressure also damages the kidneys further—it's a vicious cycle. The best tip is to strictly limit your daily salt intake and take your prescribed BP pills without fail.

Yes, they are directly linked because kidneys control the fluid volume in our blood. Reducing salt and eating fresh bottle gourd (lauki) juice can help keep things light. But high BP is very risky for kidneys, so please make sure a doctor is monitoring you.

I totally get it, finding out that your kidney issues are causing your blood pressure to spike is incredibly stressful. It feels like one problem leads to another. Just take a deep breath and let your nephrologist adjust your medications, they deal with this combination every day.
