Can kidney issues cause bloating?

Lately, I've been feeling constantly bloated, and I also have some minor kidney issues, though not very severe. I'm trying to figure out the reason for this bloating. Could my kidney condition be a factor?

People on the internet will tell you to drink random herbal detox teas for bloating, but if it's caused by kidney issues, those herbs can damage your kidneys further. Kidney issues cause fluid retention which feels like bloating. Get your kidney function tests (KFT) done and verify with a real doctor.

With my high BP, I have to be very careful about fluid retention, which often starts as bloating or puffiness under the eyes. This is directly linked to how well the kidneys are working. Please monitor your salt intake and get your blood pressure and kidney function checked regularly.

My grandmother used to say that when the body's internal filtration is slow, the stomach feels heavy and bloated. However, with kidney health, we must be very careful. It is always best to consult a doctor to check if the bloating is due to fluid buildup or just regular gas.

I had terrible bloating and swelling around my ankles last year, and I initially thought it was just PMS. It turned out to be related to my kidney function dropping slightly. It is always better to get a routine checkup done just to rule out anything serious.

Yes, if the kidneys are not filtering properly, fluid can accumulate in the body and cause bloating. You can drink a cup of warm jeera water to help soothe your stomach. But if you also have swelling in your feet or face, please see a doctor immediately.

Yes, fluid retention from kidney issues can definitely make you feel super bloated! Try to reduce your salt intake a bit and see if it helps. But definitely get a quick checkup with your doctor to stay safe! 😊

I am new to this group and my mother has been feeling very bloated and heavy in her stomach recently. She also has minor back pain. Should we get her kidney tested, or is it likely just a normal gastric issue?
