Can kidney disease cause low blood pressure?

I was diagnosed with kidney disease last year. Since then, I've noticed my blood pressure readings are often on the lower side, which wasn't usually the case for me. Is it possible for kidney problems to cause low blood pressure?

Sip on some warm ginger water or coconut water if your doctor permits to keep your fluids stable. However, if your BP is dropping too low and making you dizzy, please don't experiment at home and see your physician immediately.

Yes, it can happen, especially during dialysis or if you get dehydrated. Make sure to check your BP levels regularly at home.

Honestly, health issues are so confusing. Usually people talk about high BP with kidneys, but low BP can also happen if the fluid balance goes totally haywire. I'm literally too tired to decode my own body's signals right now, but please ask a doc before you stress out.

While kidney issues mostly cause high BP, low BP can definitely happen due to fluid loss, anemia, or even certain blood pressure medications. Keep a daily log of your BP readings and show it to your doctor so they can adjust the dosage safely.

Please don't ignore this. I once ignored my sudden dizzy spells thinking it was just weakness, but my kidney function had actually dropped. Get a proper renal profile test done immediately to see what is going on.

Don't panic. While high BP is more common, low BP can happen if you are losing too much fluid or if your heart and kidneys are struggling to sync. Rest well, drink water if you aren't on fluid restriction, and let's get you checked by a doctor tomorrow.

Yes, if the body's sodium levels drop too much, BP can crash. I always thought eating less salt was a good thing, but keeping it too low can also cause issues. Better talk to your doctor about your salt and fluid intake limits.

It can happen, and treating it can get expensive if it gets severe. I'd suggest buying a basic digital BP monitor for home use to avoid paying clinic visit charges every time. Plan your kidney and heart diagnostic tests together as a package to save some money.
