Can kidney disease cause joint and muscle pain?

For the past few months, I've had really bad joint and muscle pain, almost constant. I also have early-stage kidney disease, and I'm wondering if these two things are related somehow. Does kidney disease cause joint and muscle pain?

Beta, in my 60s I realized that when kidneys struggle, toxins and minerals like calcium get out of balance, causing joint stiffness. I used to worry a lot, but proper medication and a simple routine helped ease the ache. Don't lose heart, just follow the medical advice patiently.

I completely understand how terrifying it feels when your joints start aching and you start googling kidney symptoms. I spent sleepless nights worrying about this myself. It can happen due to mineral imbalances, but please take a deep breath and let a doctor diagnose it instead of panicking.

Bro, my dad has renal issues and he used to complain about crazy leg and joint pain all the time. It happens because of electrolyte imbalance and fluid buildup. Better get his creatinine and electrolytes checked soon.

I was actually reading about this because my mother has some mild joint pain lately and her kidney reports were slightly off. Does this pain usually happen in the knees or does it affect the whole body? If anyone knows, please tell me.

Yes, bone and mineral disorder is linked with kidney health. During our consultation at Medanta, the doctor explained how calcium-phosphorus imbalance hurts the joints. I suggest you ask your doctor clearly about this so they can adjust the supplements.
