Can kidney cause back pain?

Been having this dull back pain on and off for a few weeks, mostly on one side. My friend said it could be related to kidneys. Can kidney issues actually cause back pain?

Totally. Most people think they pulled a muscle in the gym, but kidney pain is actually higher up on the back, just under the ribs. Make sure you are drinking enough water and keeping your hydration levels on point, especially after heavy workouts.

Yeah, bro, it definitely does. Last year I had this crazy ache on one side of my lower back and thought it was just bad posture from gaming. Turned out to be a small kidney stone. Better to get an ultrasound done to be sure.

Yes, kidney issues can cause severe back pain, usually on one side. If you also have fever or pain while urinating, please visit a doctor immediately.

I've had this deep, dull ache on the left side of my back for three days now. I'm so scared it's my kidneys. Does kidney pain feel different from normal muscle pain? Should I go to the emergency room or just wait it out?

Look, don't sit around guessing. Muscle pain usually hurts when you move or stretch, but kidney pain is a constant, deep ache that won't go away even if you change positions. Go to a clinic, get a simple urine test done, and clear your mind.
