Can kardia mobile detect heart attack?

My son got me a Kardia Mobile device to monitor my heart rhythm at home, as I have some cardiac concerns. I'm trying to understand its capabilities properly. Will this Kardia Mobile device be able to detect if I'm having a heart attack?

When I got a Kardia Mobile for my mother, we took it to her cardiologist at Kokilaben Hospital to understand it. The doctor made it very clear that it is only meant for detecting AFib and abnormal rhythms, not a heart attack. Always consult your doctor directly to understand how to use these devices.

No, Kardia Mobile cannot detect a heart attack. A heart attack is a blockage of blood flow, which requires a complete clinical ECG and blood tests to confirm. If anyone is experiencing chest discomfort or shortness of breath, please don't check the app, just go straight to the clinic.

I was actually researching this device online last week because my uncle wanted to buy one. From what I read, it specifically mentions on their official website that it does not detect heart attacks. It is purely for measuring heart rate and rhythm irregularities.

My teenager sometimes gets sudden heart racing, so we use Kardia to keep a record for our doctor. It is highly useful for checking palpitations and tracking history, but remember it does not detect heart attacks. Keep a cold head and call emergency services if there is any serious pain.

Bro, simple answer is no. Kardia is strictly for tracking arrhythmias like AFib. If someone is having chest pain, sweating, or left arm numbness, do not waste time playing with the phone app. Just get them to the nearest emergency room immediately.

In our times we didn't have these small pocket gadgets, but we knew when someone was genuinely unwell. Kardia is a good modern machine for tracking pulse issues, but it cannot warn you about a heart attack. Stay calm, maintain a healthy lifestyle, and see a real doctor when needed.

Let's be clear about this. A Kardia Mobile is a single-lead or six-lead device meant to spot electrical rhythm issues, not blockages in your arteries. If you are using it hoping it will act as a heart attack detector, you are using the wrong tool. Call a hospital if there is a real scare.
