Can kardia detect heart attack?

My doctor recently told me to keep an eye on my heart health due to some risk factors. I'm looking into home monitoring devices like Kardia. Can a device like Kardia actually detect if someone is having a heart attack?

I know how terrifying it is to worry about heart health and keep checking devices constantly. It is an exhausting feeling. Just remember that these home devices cannot catch a heart attack, so don't solely rely on them if you feel unwell. Please take care of yourself.

Please listen carefully, Kardia is designed to detect arrhythmia or AFib, not a heart attack. When I had my cardiac issues, my doctor clearly told me that you need a proper 12-lead ECG and blood tests at a hospital to diagnose a heart attack. If you feel chest pain or heavy breathing, go to an ER immediately.

Kardia Mobile is a fantastic tool for tracking irregular heartbeats like AFib, but it does not detect a heart attack. If you are experiencing symptoms like chest pressure, jaw pain, or sweating, ignore the device and call an ambulance right away. Safety first, always.

I used to panic and scan my heart every hour on these devices, which actually increased my anxiety! Later, my doc explained that Kardia checks rhythm, not heart muscle damage. Once I understood that, my panic stopped. If your doctor said your heart is normal, just relax.

My father uses a Kardia device to check his pulse rhythm, but his cardiologist specifically warned us that it won't show if someone is having a heart attack. It is good for peace of mind regarding daily rhythm checks, but for actual chest pain, hospital is the only way.

These smart gadgets are expensive and have their limitations. Instead of depending entirely on a pocket device, it is much better to keep the phone number of a nearby 24/7 hospital handy. If there is a real medical emergency, a quick visit to the clinic is what saves lives.
