Can intermittent fasting cause diabetes?

My friend suggested intermittent fasting for weight loss, but then someone else mentioned it could be risky. I've heard some people say it affects blood sugar. Wondering if it can actually lead to diabetes?

Do not worry too much, our bodies have amazing ways of healing themselves when we remain positive. Fasting correctly actually helps with insulin levels rather than harming them. Take care of your routine and listen to what your body is trying to tell you.

Honestly, I totally understand why you are asking this because health worries can keep you up all night. I had the exact same fear when I first thought of starting it. From my reading, it doesn't cause diabetes, but if you have a family history, please talk to a specialist to calm your mind.

Actually intermittent fasting is supposed to help with insulin sensitivity, so it shouldn't cause diabetes yaar. But if you starve yourself all day and then feast on junk, then load scale bigad jayega. Better to consult a doc and do a proper HbA1c test if you are feeling doubtful.

Yaar, if fasting caused diabetes, half of us foodies would be in deep trouble. The real challenge is not eating for 16 hours and then not crashing into a mountain of butter chicken and naan during the feeding window. Just keep your meals balanced when you break the fast and you will be absolutely fine.

I used to feel so guilty and stressed every time I missed my fasting window, thinking I was ruining my metabolism permanently. It's really hard to handle all this conflicting information on the internet. Please be kind to yourself and don't take too much stress, it generally helps regulate sugar, not cause issues.

Eating on time and having warm water with methi seeds in the morning is great for your blood sugar levels. Fasting naturally can clean the body system if done properly. But if you are experiencing extreme thirst, tiredness, or frequent urination, don't rely on online tips, go to a doctor immediately.
