Can indigestion feel like a heart attack?

A few times now, I've had really bad heartburn after a big meal, and it feels exactly like the chest pain described for a heart attack. My doctor said it could be indigestion, but it's very scary. Can indigestion really feel that severe?

Haan bhaiya, bilkul lagta hai. Ek baar mujhe itni bhayanak gas bani ki laga dil ka daura pad gaya, poora ghar ghabra gaya tha. Par doctor ne bataya ki acidity hi thi.

Yes, acid reflux can feel exactly like chest pressure. But never ignore it if there is sweating or pain in the left arm.

Yeah bro, GERD chest pain is scary and feels like a heart attack. If it goes away with Eno or antacids, it's usually gas, but better to be safe than sorry.

Yaar, actually acid reflux can mimic that exact burning chest pressure. But honestly, if you have sweating or breathing issues, don't waste time, go to a clinic immediately.

I totally get it, the chest tightness from severe acidity can be absolutely terrifying and make you panic. It's always best to get a doctor's opinion to ease your mind and stay safe.

Please don't assume it is just indigestion. I once ignored chest tightness thinking it was acidity and it turned out to be a blockage. Go get an ECG immediately if you feel pain.

Yes, esophageal spasms and acid reflux can mimic cardiac symptoms. My smartwatch tracks my heart rate, which helps me differentiate anxiety-led gas pain from actual issues, but medical testing is key.

Indeed, wind in the chest can feel like a heavy weight. Practicing deep breathing and drinking warm water helps release the gas, but please consult a doctor if the pain is severe.
