Can indigestion cause chest pain?

Last night I had a heavy dinner and since then I've been having this weird pressure in my chest. My father has heart issues, so I'm a bit concerned. Can indigestion really cause chest pain, ya phir it's something else?

I often feel a burning tightness in my chest after eating spicy food. Is that just acidity, or could it be something worse? I am a bit scared to ask my parents.

Bro, yes, late-night maggi always gives me this weird chest burning. But honestly, if the pain is heavy or spreading, don't play around, just show a doctor.

As a diabetic, I have to be very careful because sometimes heart symptoms can feel like simple indigestion. If you have chest discomfort, please get an ECG done instead of assuming it is just gas.

Acid reflux can cause a strong burning sensation in the chest area, often mistaken for heart issues. Keeping your meals clean and avoiding immediate sleep after dinner helps, but always rule out cardiac issues first if the pain is severe.

Yes, GERD can cause non-cardiac chest pain, which is quite common. I track my food triggers on my app to avoid it. But please remember, sudden or crushing chest pain needs immediate emergency medical attention.

Yes, it's usually just acidity acting up! Try some cold milk for instant relief, but do consult a doctor if it doesn't go away soon. 😊

I had a similar scare and went to a multi-specialty hospital to get fully checked. The doctors explained that gas can mimic chest pain, but they advised never to self-diagnose chest pain. Please see a doctor.
