Can i use dandruff shampoo on my face?

I've heard some people say that dandruff shampoo can help with certain facial skin issues, maybe like fungal acne. I have quite a bit of dandruff. Is it actually safe to use my regular anti-dandruff shampoo on my face?

I know how frustrating it is to deal with those stubborn fungal acne bumps or flaky skin on your face, it really drains your confidence. Some people do use Nizoral or Head & Shoulders on their face and see results, but it can also be incredibly drying. Please be gentle with your skin.

Hey, don't worry too much about the skin breakouts, it happens to all of us. Yes, you can use a tiny bit of dandruff shampoo if it's fungal acne, but remember that face skin is much thinner than your scalp. Don't scrub it hard, just wash gently and moisturize well after.

Honestly, with my busy schedule, I don't have time for complicated skin routines. Using dandruff shampoo on the face can work for fungal acne because of the zinc pyrithione or ketoconazole, but do it only twice a week. Don't leave it on for more than a minute or you'll ruin your skin barrier.

Beta, dandruff shampoo has very strong chemicals that are made for thick hair and scalp. Putting it on your delicate face might cause redness or burning. It is much better to wash your face with plain besan or curd, or check with a local doctor first.

My skincare tracker app actually suggested trying ketoconazole shampoo for stubborn forehead bumps, and it works! Just apply a thin layer, leave it for 2 minutes, and wash off. Make sure to log any redness or dry patches so you can stop if your skin reacts badly.

I totally get it, when you have stubborn skin issues, you just want a quick fix that actually works. Many dermatologists do recommend zinc or ketoconazole shampoos for seborrheic dermatitis on the face. Just start slow, maybe once a week, to see how your skin reacts.
