Can i take nyquil to help me sleep?

Been having a lot of trouble sleeping lately, especially with all the work stress. Someone suggested I try Nyquil as it helps with cold symptoms and makes you drowsy. Is it okay to take it just for sleep, even if I don't have a cold?

Don't start taking cold syrups for insomnia just because someone online said it works. It is not designed for daily sleep issues and can cause rebound insomnia. Go see a doctor if your sleep problems are bad.

Using a heavy cold medicine just for sleep is not good for your system. Instead, try practicing 10 minutes of Bhramari pranayama before bed and drink warm milk. It naturally relaxes the mind without any chemical dependency.

Listen, using cold meds for sleep is a bad habit to start. It will make you feel super groggy and tired the next morning anyway. If you are having trouble sleeping, let's look at your screen time or try a safe doctor-approved supplement instead.

Bhai, why buy expensive cough syrups just to sleep? It will only make you habituated. Just try to sleep at the same time daily, keep your phone away an hour before bed, and switch off the lights. It works slowly but safely.

I was actually reading about this because my sleep schedule is totally ruined. Apparently, the ingredient that makes you drowsy in NyQuil shouldn't be used long-term for sleep because your body gets used to it very fast. Better to find a proper solution, na?

Beta, taking such strong chemical syrups for sleep is not healthy. In our family, we always put a drop of warm ghee on our soles or drink chamomile tea to help us sleep. Please consult a doctor if your sleeplessness persists.

Honestly, don't do it. NyQuil is for flu and cold, not a sleeping pill. Using it regularly for sleep can mess up your liver and your sleep cycle. Just buy some melatonin or talk to a doctor.
