Can i take my thyroid pill at night?

I usually take my thyroid pill in the morning, but sometimes I forget. My friend mentioned she takes hers at night. Is it okay if I take my thyroid pill at night instead?

I used to panic because I kept forgetting my morning dose, but my doctor reassured me that taking it at night is actually perfectly fine. The main rule is that your stomach must be completely empty, so take it at least 3-4 hours after dinner. Just confirm with your doc once.

Before you switch, plan for a follow-up TSH blood test in 6-8 weeks to make sure the night absorption is working well. These tests cost money, so it's best to do the switch under your doctor's supervision to avoid unnecessary repeating of tests.

Hey, night dosing works for many people, especially if morning workouts make fasting difficult. Just ensure your stomach is empty so it doesn't mess with absorption. Get your TSH tested and let your doctor advise on the switch.

Yes, you can, but consistency is key. If you switch to night, make sure you don't eat anything for a few hours before sleeping, otherwise the medicine won't absorb. Better to run it by your doctor before changing your routine.

I really struggle to wait one hour for tea in the morning after my pill, so I want to switch to night. But I'm so anxious that my thyroid levels might shoot up. Has anyone else made this switch successfully without issues?
