Hey, don't worry, but please avoid ibuprofen for stomach aches. It's actually known to cause acidity and irritation in the stomach lining, which will just double your pain. Take rest, drink some warm water, and let's consult a doctor if it doesn't go away.

I am not very sure, but I read somewhere that ibuprofen can make stomach pain worse if it's due to acidity. Is that true? Maybe it is safer to ask a doctor before taking it.

Directly telling you, do not take ibuprofen for stomach pain. It will make your stomach burn like anything, especially if you have gas or an ulcer. Go to a local clinic and get a proper antacid or spasm medicine prescribed by a doc.

Honestly, taking ibuprofen for stomach pain is a bad move. NSAIDs are notorious for causing gastric irritation. Just skip the self-medication and get a doctor to check what's actually causing the ache.

I also have severe stomach pain right now and I am really scared to take any medicine. Has anyone else experienced worse pain after taking ibuprofen? I think I will just call my doctor to be absolutely safe.

I made this exact mistake last week when I had a bad stomach cramp. Took one ibuprofen and the burning sensation got so bad I had to rush to the clinic. The doctor scolded me and said never to use it for stomach issues. Go see a doc instead!
