Can i take aleve for tooth pain?

My tooth has been hurting quite a lot since yesterday, making it difficult to eat. I have Aleve at home, and I'm wondering if I can take it to relieve this tooth pain.

I always have to be very careful with medications due to my PCOS, so I avoid self-prescribing. Aleve might help with inflammation, but tooth pain can have many different causes. It's best to check with a dentist to see what's actually safe for you.

Instead of spending money on random painkillers like Aleve which only give temporary relief, it is better to plan a visit to a local government hospital or dental clinic. A proper checkup is more cost-effective in the long run than buying endless tablets.

Bro, tooth pain is the ultimate sleep killer, I haven't slept all night because of a throbbing jaw. Aleve might dull the pain for a bit, but it won't fix the cavity or whatever is drilling into your nerve. Get some ice on your cheek and call a dentist.

I was actually researching this online because my cousin had a massive toothache. It seems Aleve is an anti-inflammatory so it might reduce swelling, but a lot of dental forums say only a dentist can give you a permanent solution. Has anyone here tried it?

For severe tooth pain, taking chemical painkillers like Aleve should only be a last resort. Try doing some gentle breathing to calm your nervous system, and place a clove near the aching tooth. Please visit a dentist for a proper treatment.
