Can i take advil after taking excedrin migraine?

I took Excedrin Migraine a few hours ago for a terrible headache, but it's still not completely gone. Can I take Advil now to try and get some more relief, or is that not safe?

Please don't mix these two medicines. Combining Advil with Excedrin can be very harsh on your stomach and kidneys. If your migraine is still bad, sit in a dark room and let's get you checked by a doctor instead of taking more pills.

Whenever I have health issues, I visit a proper multi-specialty hospital to get checked. Mixing such strong medications can cause serious internal issues, so you should ask your doctor clearly before combining any painkillers.

My health tracker app always flags drug interactions, and mixing Advil with Excedrin is a big red zone due to overlapping ingredients. Keep a log of your triggers instead and consult a doctor for a proper plan.

Oof, a migraine is the worst, it completely ruins your appetite for good food. But please don't mix Advil and Excedrin, that combo is way too heavy for your stomach. Drink some ginger tea instead to help with the nausea.

I also get super anxious when my migraine doesn't stop after the first pill. Did anyone else feel tempted to take Advil right after Excedrin, or is it actually as dangerous as people say? I'm too scared to try it.

I am quite new to managing migraines and don't know much about these tablets. Is it really that unsafe to take them together? What should someone do if the first medicine doesn't work?

Beta, taking so many strong medicines together is not good for your health. It will hurt your stomach. Drink some warm water, put a cold cloth on your forehead, and rest instead of taking more tablets.

I totally get it, migraine pain is so unbearable that you just want to take anything to make it stop. But please be careful, mixing these two can be really dangerous for your stomach lining. Try to rest in a quiet, dark room instead.

I once mixed pain relievers carelessly and ended up with severe gastritis complications. Please do not take Advil after Excedrin. If your migraine is that severe, please go see a doctor immediately.

Arey, my head aches just reading this! Don't double dose on these strong painkillers or your stomach will start protesting next. One is enough, otherwise you'll be dealing with acidity along with your migraine.

I agree with others, please do not combine them. Mixing these pain relievers can cause severe stomach irritation.

I know how terrifying it is when a migraine doesn't go away and you start panicking about the pain. But please don't mix these pills as it can make you feel worse. Your safety comes first, so let's avoid taking both together.

As a nurse, I highly recommend you do not do this. Both contains NSAIDs or compounds that shouldn't be mixed, which increases the risk of stomach bleeding and kidney strain. Stick to one medication and consult your pharmacist for a safer alternative.

My grandmother always suggests applying a strong herbal balm for headaches, but for migraines we must be careful. My doctor clearly warned against mixing different types of pain medications like Advil and Excedrin. Please consult a doctor before taking both.
