Can i take a muscle relaxer for tooth pain?

I have terrible tooth pain right now, and it's making it hard to concentrate. I have some muscle relaxers prescribed for my back pain at home. Can I take a muscle relaxer to help with tooth pain, or will it not be effective?

Honestly, self-medicating like this is not a good idea at all. Just like I have to get my thyroid levels checked regularly and consult my doctor before changing any pill, you need to see a dentist first. They will do a proper checkup and tell you exactly what medicine is safe for your toothache.

Tooth pain is the absolute worst, I completely feel your pain. I tried everything from chewing clove to warm saline rinses when my wisdom tooth flared up, but muscle relaxers won't really help with dental nerve pain. Try placing a small piece of laung near the tooth for temporary relief and book a dentist appointment for tomorrow morning.

Arey, muscle relaxer for a tooth? My back aches every day and even I wouldn't mix up my pills like that! Tooth pain has its own drama, so please don't take random medications. Better to bear with a warm water gargle tonight and let a proper dentist handle it tomorrow.

Bro, I haven't slept in 24 hours because of my own schedule, but taking a muscle relaxer for tooth pain sounds like a recipe for a very weird sleep. It's not going to fix the tooth decay or whatever is causing that drilling feeling in your mouth. Skip the random heavy pills, drink some cold water, and call a dentist.

Listen to me, don't do this. Taking random prescription medicines like muscle relaxers for dental pain can be quite risky. If the pain is unbearable right now, try a cold compress on your cheek to numb the area a bit. First thing tomorrow, we are getting you to a good dentist to get it checked properly, okay?

Oh god, tooth pain is so scary, it makes your whole jaw and head throb. Did anyone else here also feel like taking whatever pill was in the cabinet just to stop the pain? I am too scared to take a muscle relaxer though, is it even safe or will it cause bad side effects?

Hey, as someone who works closely with medicines, I'd strongly advise against this. Muscle relaxers work on skeletal muscles, not on the dental nerves causing your toothache. It won't give you the relief you want and might just make you unnecessarily drowsy. Stick to a simple over-the-counter painkiller recommended by a pharmacist until you see your dentist.
