Can i take 75mg of benadryl to sleep?

I'm really struggling with insomnia and can't seem to get any rest. I have Benadryl and I'm thinking of taking it. Is it alright to take 75mg of Benadryl to help me fall asleep, or is that considered too high a dose?

According to sleep tracking data and medical guidelines, taking 75mg of Benadryl is too high and will actually ruin your sleep quality. You will get less REM sleep and feel very sluggish tomorrow. Standard dose is 25-50mg.

My grandmother always suggests warm milk and a little nutmeg for sleep, but if you must use Benadryl, please don't take 75mg. That is a heavy dose. Better to check with your family doctor first.

Beta, do not get into the habit of taking such strong doses of allergy medicine just to sleep. Massage some sesame oil on your feet before sleeping, it cools the body and brings natural rest.

Bhai, 75mg is very strong medicine. It is not good for your liver and stomach to take so much just for sleep. Please ask the local doctor once before swallowing those pills.

No way, 75mg is an overdose for a sleep aid. The standard OTC limit is 50mg max. Don't mess with antihistamines like this, it will just leave you dehydrated and groggy.

Since I have thyroid issues, I have to be very careful with cold and allergy medicines. 75mg is quite a large dose. Please get a proper doctor's consult instead of self-medicating.
