Can i sleep with contact lens on?

Sometimes I get really tired and accidentally fall asleep without taking out my contact lenses. I usually wake up with dry eyes. Is it very bad for my eyes to sleep with contact lenses on, even if it's just for a short nap?

Never do this! I slept in my contacts once and ended up with a severe corneal ulcer that required months of antibiotic drops and almost damaged my vision permanently. See an eye doctor immediately if your eyes are red.

I literally did this last weekend by mistake and woke up with extremely dry, red eyes that were stuck shut. It took three days of using lubricating drops for them to feel normal again. Definitely don't do it.

I was researching this because I wear contacts too. sleeping in them cuts off oxygen to your cornea, which increases the risk of eye infections by like 20 times. It is absolutely not worth the risk.

Just like you shouldn't sleep in your workout gear, your eyes need hygiene and fresh oxygen. Taking off your lenses at night is a basic health habit that protects your eyes from serious infections.

Aankhein Ishwar ka diya hua sabse anmol uphar hain. Raat ko inhein aaram dein, lens nikal kar hi soyein taaki sharir khush rahe.

Honestly, even if you are dead tired and falling asleep on the couch, drag yourself to the bathroom. Waking up with a lens glued to your eyeball is the worst feeling ever.

My family always tells me to keep my eyes natural at night, and my eye doctor also strictly warned against sleeping with lenses. It is always better to follow the doctor's safety advice.

Look, I know you get lazy sometimes, but don't play with your eyesight. Make it a strict habit to take them out before hitting the bed, no matter how tired you are.

It takes exactly two minutes to remove and wash your lenses. Leaving them in overnight will cost you way more time and money in doctor visits for eye infections, so don't be lazy.

Since I have thyroid, my eyes are already prone to dryness. Sleeping with contact lenses makes it ten times worse, so I always remove them and get regular eye exams to keep track.

Lenses nikal kar hi sona chahiye. Agar aankhon mein thoda dry lag raha ho toh thoda thanda gulab jal aankhon par rakh sakti hain, par lens nikalne ke baad hi.

At Sankara Nethralaya, they specifically tell everyone never to sleep with contacts. The risk of corneal infections is extremely high, so please follow the medical guidelines.

Nahi yaar, bilkul galti mat karna. Haan thoda lazy lagta hai raat ko nikalna, par lenses pehn kar sone se aankhein red ho jati hain na, toh nikal kar hi so.

I know it is extremely tiring to take them out when you are half-asleep, I've been there and felt the struggle. But please make the effort to remove them, your eye health is so precious.

No way! Give your eyes some breathing space at night. Take those lenses out, put on some comfortable glasses, and sleep nicely.
