Can i sleep on my side after hip replacement?

I just had a hip replacement surgery a few days ago. The doctor gave instructions about movement, but I forgot to ask about sleeping positions specifically. I'm a side sleeper by habit; will it be safe for me to sleep on my side soon after a hip replacement?

Don't rush into side sleeping. Usually, doctors advise waiting at least 4 to 6 weeks. When you do start, sleep on the non-operated side with a thick pillow between your knees to avoid dislocation.

Aapka sharir abhi swasth ho raha hai, dhairya rakhein. Peeth ke bal letna hi abhi sabse surakshit hai, dheere-dheere takat aane par hi karwat lein.

Be very careful, as turning too early can cause dislocation. I had a minor issue during my recovery because I turned incorrectly, so please consult your surgeon before changing your sleep posture.

Maine 5 saal pehle hip replacement karwaya tha. Shuru ke ek-do mahine maine bilkul side par nahi soya, hamesha peeth ke bal hi soya taaki joint bilkul theek se settle ho jaye.

Generally you have to wait several weeks, and you must use an abduction pillow between your legs when you do.

I am 3 weeks post-surgery and my back is aching so much from sleeping straight. Did anyone else find it really hard to sleep flat, and when did your doctor allow you to sleep on your side?
