Can i sleep on my side after botox?

I just got Botox injections for my forehead wrinkles today. The clinic advised me not to lie down for a few hours, but didn't specify sleeping positions later. I usually sleep on my side; is it safe to sleep on my side tonight after Botox?

I totally get being worried about this, I was so scared of ruining my face! Actually, my doctor told me to sleep flat on my back for just the first night to be safe, but side sleeping is fine after 24 hours.

Just like avoiding a heavy workout right after the session, it is best to avoid sleeping on your side or stomach for the first 4-6 hours so the Botox doesn't migrate. After that, you are good to go.

I am planning to get my first botox next week and was worried about this. Do you have to sleep on your back for the entire first week or is it just for the first night?

I've been getting Botox for years. Just sleep on your back for the first night to let everything settle without any pressure. From the next day, you can go back to your usual side sleeping without any issues.

Please follow your dermatologist's post-care instructions strictly. I once ignored some instructions after a skin treatment and had to deal with uneven results, so call your clinic if you have doubts.
