Can i sleep on my right side while pregnant?

I'm pregnant and have been told to sleep on my left side. However, I often find myself waking up on my right side. Is it actually okay to sleep on my right side while pregnant, or should I be strictly avoiding it?

Sleep on the right, sleep on the left, just don't sleep hanging from the ceiling! You are totally fine sleeping on your right, do not overthink it.

Bro, my wife asked her gynecologist the exact same thing last week. She said right side is safe, just don't sleep flat on your back for too long.

Yes, you can. To make it comfortable, tuck a pillow between your knees and one behind your back. It keeps your spine aligned and reduces pressure on the right hip.

My cousin is pregnant and she literally sleeps on her right side half the time. Her doc told her it's completely safe, so don't stress about it too much.

When my wife was pregnant, she found sleeping on her left very uncomfortable due to shoulder pain. She slept on her right side most of the time, and our doctor said it was perfectly fine.

Hamare ghar mein sabhi bahu-betiyon ne dono taraf karwat lekar soya hai. Left side accha hota hai par thoda right side hone se koi nuksan nahi hota, sharir ko thoda aaram mil jata hai.

My mother-in-law told me only to sleep on the left side, but my doctor gently told me that right side is absolutely fine to prevent hip pain. Trust your doctor and sleep well.

My partner tracked her sleep quality during pregnancy and saw no drop in deep sleep or heart rate variability when she slept on her right. It is totally fine, just use a good memory foam pillow.

Yar at this age, sleeping in any position gives me backache, so I envy you. Right side is perfectly safe for pregnancy, just survive those nine months however you can!

I have been managing high BP for years and posture matters a lot. If you have any BP issues during pregnancy, definitely ask your doctor about the best side to sleep on, though right is usually okay.

I am in my first trimester and was wondering the same. Is right side safe even in the third trimester or does it become risky later on?

Generally right side is fine, but if you have high BP or gestional diabetes, your doctor might have specific instructions. It is always safest to check with your obstetrician during your next scan.
