Can i shower with a fever?

I'm down with a high fever and feeling really sweaty and uncomfortable. My mother always warns against showering when you have a fever, but I feel like it might help me feel a bit better. Is it actually safe to shower with a fever?

Bhai, naha sakte ho par cold water challenge mat shuru karna! Use lukewarm water so you don't start shivering like a leaf. Keep it quick and get back into your cozy blanket.

Yes, you can. Just make sure the water is warm and keep the shower short. If your fever is very high or you feel extremely weak, skip the shower and rest up. Don't push yourself unnecessarily.

You can definitely shower but use lukewarm water, never cold or very hot. If you feel too weak or dizzy, just do a sponge bath instead of standing in the shower. It is much safer and less tiring.

My family physician always says that a lukewarm shower can actually help lower a mild fever slightly and relax the muscles. However, if you are shivering or have a high fever above 102, avoid it completely and just stick to bed rest.

I had a viral fever last week and was feeling so sticky and miserable. I took a brief shower with warm water and honestly felt so much fresher. Just avoid cold water as it can cause bad shivering and increase body temp.

A warm sponge bath with a clean cloth is very soothing when the body is fighting a fever. Praying for your quick recovery, beta. Rest well and drink warm water to flush out toxins.
