Can i receive disability for arthritis?

My arthritis has gotten very severe over the past few years, making it really difficult to work and manage daily tasks. I'm wondering if I can claim disability benefits because of my condition. What is the process for this in India?

I was actually reading about government rules for this recently. It seems you can get a disability certificate in India if the joint damage is severe enough to cause permanent physical impairment. It really depends on the percentage of disability certified by a medical board.

Please don't ignore joint pain and wait until it gets completely debilitating. I delayed showing my doctor and now my knees are severely damaged. Go get a proper medical evaluation to check the severity of your arthritis first.

Do not rely on online forums for legal or medical definitions of disability. You must go to a government hospital and get examined by an authorized orthopedic medical board. They are the only ones who can legally evaluate and certify disability percentage.

The government process for obtaining a disability certificate for arthritis takes time and requires proper documentation. Gather all your hospital bills, specialist reports, and visit your local district civil hospital. Be prepared for multiple rounds of verification.

Hey, yes, under Indian guidelines, severe arthritis that significantly limits your daily movement can qualify for a disability certificate. You will need to apply through the UDID portal with all your medical history and X-rays. A government medical board will do the final check.

Actually yaar, normal arthritis me easily nahi milta. Only when it is extremely severe and restricts your basic body movements permanently, tabhi government process clear hota hai. Standard procedure is long, so consult a government hospital doctor first.

Along with exploring legal benefits, managing inflammation is very key. Keeping your weight in check and eating a balanced anti-inflammatory diet helps. Consult a rheumatologist to get a proper treatment plan before trying to apply for any benefits.
