Can i get social security disability for asthma?

My wife has been suffering from severe chronic asthma for years now, which affects her ability to work consistently. She's heard about social security disability benefits. Can she apply for social security disability assistance here in India because of her asthma?

If you are asking about Indian government schemes, we don't have 'Social Security' like Western countries. However, for severe chronic asthma, you can check with your local government hospital for a disability certificate, which might help with some state benefits. Keep all your pulmonary test reports in one file.

Honestly, trying to get government paperwork done for asthma sounds more tiring than an actual asthma attack! If you're in the US, yes, you can, but the criteria are crazy strict. If you're in India, we just have to rely on our inhalers and hope the pollution levels drop.

Dealing with asthma in our dusty cities is so hard, it completely ruins my food walks! Getting official disability benefits is extremely tough unless it's a very severe, life-threatening stage. Better to focus on avoiding allergens and enjoying warm, fresh home-cooked meals.

It is very difficult to get disability approval for asthma unless you have tried all treatments and they failed. Alongside any legal applications, try including anti-inflammatory foods like turmeric and ginger in your daily diet to manage the symptoms naturally.

Haan, if it is extremely severe and prevents you from working at all, you might qualify, but the paperwork is a real headache, na. You will need to show years of doctor visits and hospitalization records. Best to consult a local legal helper who deals with these cases.

I was reading about this online, and it seems the US social security has very specific breathing test limits to qualify for asthma disability. It's not just about having asthma; you have to prove it severely limits your lung capacity. Definitely check their official blue book guidelines.
