Can i get disability for arthritis in my knees?

My knees have been bothering me for years with severe arthritis, and it's getting harder to do daily chores. I'm finding it difficult to manage. Can I get disability for arthritis in my knees, or is it not considered a severe enough condition?

I completely understand the emotional toll this takes on you. Knee arthritis makes even walking to the bathroom feel like a mountain climb, and the constant pain can make you feel so helpless. Yes, you can get a disability certificate if the joint damage is severe enough, so please don't lose heart.

I am also facing severe knee pain and my work is getting affected badly. Has anyone else here actually applied for the government disability card for knee osteoarthritis? I'm really anxious about the medical board examination and whether they will reject my application because I am still under 40.

My mother went through the exact same struggle with both her knees. The process requires a certified orthopaedic surgeon from a government hospital to assess your joint damage and issue a disability percentage certificate. Keep all your X-rays and MRI reports fully updated before you visit the hospital.

Yes, if the restriction in movement is more than 40%, you can apply for it. I have high blood pressure and knee pain, so I have to do regular doctor checkups and keep my weight in check to reduce joint stress. Go to a government hospital and get your knee mobility officially assessed.

While you look into the legal disability aspect, don't stop moving completely. Strengthening your quadriceps and hamstrings through low-impact exercises can take a lot of pressure off your knee joints. Obviously, don't push through sharp pain, but a strong muscle base makes a massive difference.

Arey, severe knee pain is no joke, especially when it stops you from walking to your favourite food stalls! You can get a disability status if the condition is very advanced and limits basic movement. Do get it checked out legally, and try adding turmeric and ginger to your diet as they help reduce inflammation naturally.
