Can i eat cooked liver while pregnant?

My iron levels are a bit low, and my family keeps telling me to eat liver. I know raw liver is out, but what about cooked? Can I eat cooked liver while pregnant to help with my iron deficiency?

Honestly, it is better to avoid liver when you are pregnant because it has too much Vitamin A which is not good for the baby. Stick to basic ghar ka khana like dal, paneer, and regular veggies to be safe. Also, if you ever feel severe nausea, cramping, or any unusual pain, don't wait for home tips, immediately call your doctor.

Liver has super high Vitamin A which can cause issues, so why take risk and end up paying for expensive scans and emergency tests later? We have to plan so many costs for delivery and baby shopping already. Better to stick to normal chicken or eggs if you want iron and protein, much safer and cheaper in the long run.

I totally understand how stressful it is when you crave something so much but are terrified of hurting your baby. I used to cry during my pregnancy over every little food rule because the anxiety is so real. Sadly, liver is generally not recommended due to high vitamin A, but don't feel bad about having these cravings, we all go through it.

Actually, my doctor specifically explained this to me during my third month. Liver contains a very high concentration of preformed Vitamin A (retinol), which can lead to birth defects. Even though cooked liver has iron, the risk is too high, so she told me to completely avoid it and gave me iron supplements instead.

Hey! Better to skip the liver curry for now and enjoy yummy safe options like butter chicken or boiled eggs instead! 🍳 Pregnancy has so many rules, but keeping the little one safe is our top priority. Just check with your doc on your next visit about what non-veg is best for you!

I had a very difficult pregnancy with several complications, so I became extremely cautious about what I ate. My doctor strictly told me to avoid liver during those nine months because of the high retinol levels. Please consult your obstetrician before taking even a single bite, you should not take any chances at all.
