Can i eat cheerios with a fever?

My little one has a fever and is not eating much, but he usually loves Cheerios. I'm wondering if it's a good idea to give him Cheerios when he has a fever. Will it be easy to digest or make things worse?

Yeah totally, cheerios are super light anyway. When I had viral fever last month, I literally couldn't digest anything else, so I just had some cereal with cold milk. It is easy to eat when u feel weak.

My mother always tells me to avoid processed cereals and cold milk when having a fever, preferring warm kanji instead. However, my doctor said if you have no appetite, eating some light Cheerios with warm milk is perfectly fine. Trust your body and take rest.

Yes, you can eat Cheerios during a fever as they are very light on the stomach. Just try using warm milk instead of cold.

Wait, is it safe to have packaged cereal with milk when body temperature is high? I always get worried that milk might make my fever worse or cause congestion. Did anyone else feel heavy after eating cereal during viral?

Hey, don't worry. Cheerios are simple and won't upset your stomach. Just make sure the milk isn't fridge-cold, use lukewarm milk instead so it is easy on your throat. Rest well and get some sleep.

During a fever, the digestive fire is weak. Cheerios are okay if you have nothing else, but traditional warm rice gruel with a pinch of ginger and cumin is much better for healing. Take complete rest and keep your chest covered.

Cheerios are perfectly fine to eat during a fever since they are low in fat and easy to break down. Just keep yourself hydrated with coconut water or warm soups as well. If the fever stays above 101 F for more than two days, definitely consult a doctor.

When I ignored a high fever and just tried to eat light foods, my condition actually worsened into a severe infection. Please don't rely only on comforting foods. If your fever is high or doesn't go down with paracetamol, please see a doctor immediately.

Cheerios are whole grain and easy to digest, which makes them a decent choice when you lack appetite. However, if your fever is high or accompanied by vomiting, it is best to consult your family physician for proper diagnosis and medical advice.

I always get so anxious about food during a fever! I feel like packaged items might have preservatives that could burden the liver when it is fighting infection. Maybe try hot khichdi first? But if you really want Cheerios, just have a very small bowl.

When my son had a high fever, the paediatrician at our hospital said any light carbohydrate like Cheerios is fine as long as he stays hydrated. But if you have other symptoms like a severe sore throat, please check with your doctor for proper treatment.

Kha sakte ho bhai, isme koi nuksan nahi hai. Par khali dry cereal mat chabate rehna. Saath mein thoda garm paani ya soup bhi piyo taaki body hydrate rahe. Zyada garm body hai toh doctor ko dikha lo.
