Can i drink milk during fever and cold?

My daughter has a fever and cold, and she's not eating much. She usually loves milk, and my grandmother insists it's good for strength. Can she drink milk during fever and cold, or will it make her cough and congestion worse? I'm getting conflicting advice.

You can have warm milk with turmeric, but keep an eye on your symptoms. When I have a fever, I also make sure to check my thyroid levels if it lingers too long, as overall immunity plays a big role. Do see a doctor if the fever stays.

Actually yaar, warm turmeric milk (haldi doodh) is the best during a cold. Just avoid drinking cold milk from the fridge because that can make your throat congestion feel worse. Keep it warm and you are good.

Warm milk is totally fine, but don't drink it if you have heavy congestion or phlegm because some people feel it thickens the mucus. Better to drink simple hot ginger-water or clear soups instead.

Don't run to buy expensive health drinks or supplements when you have a normal cold. Just boil milk at home with turmeric and black pepper, it's a cheap and highly effective remedy. Save your money for actual doctor tests if the fever doesn't drop in 3 days.

I always recommend boiling milk with a pinch of turmeric, ginger, and black pepper for a cold. It gives great relief. However, if your fever is very high or you have trouble breathing, please don't rely only on home tips and go see a doctor.
