Can i do exercise during pregnancy?

I'm in my second trimester now and want to stay active, but I'm a bit confused about what exercises are safe. Can I continue to do exercise during pregnancy, or are there certain types I should avoid completely? I used to go to the gym regularly before.

Haha, yes you can! But don't start training for a marathon suddenly. Safe exercises like walking or light stretching are great, just don't try to lift heavy sofas around the house to prove you are superwoman!

It is wonderful to keep the body active during this beautiful journey. Gentle walking and light yoga can bring a lot of positive energy and peace to both you and the baby. Just listen to your inner self, don't overexert, and let things flow naturally.

I am in my first trimester and thoda scared about moving too much. Is simple walking daily safe for the baby, or should I wait until the second trimester? My doctor said light movement is okay, but I'm still feeling a bit nervous.

Arre, in our times, elders wouldn't even let my wife lift a teacup during pregnancy! But now doctors say light exercises are actually good. Just stick to normal walks, don't try any stunt-level gym routines, and keep your feet elevated when you relax.

Yes, you absolutely can and should, provided your gynecologist has given the green light. Staying active makes delivery and recovery much easier. Stick to pregnancy-safe workouts like prenatal yoga or swimming, and avoid anything with a risk of falling.
