Can hypertension cause neck pain?

For the past few months, I've been experiencing persistent neck pain, and around the same time, my blood pressure readings have been consistently high. I'm wondering if there's any connection between these two. Can hypertension actually cause neck pain?

I always visit the outpatient department at Max Hospital for my checkups. My doctor there mentioned that a sudden, severe headache or neck stiffness can sometimes happen during a major blood pressure spike. It is best to ask your doctor clearly and get your BP checked immediately.

When my son was dealing with high blood pressure due to stress, he often complained of severe neck and shoulder stiffness. We used to give him a warm water bag for comfort, but the doctor's medicine was what actually cured it. Please take care and get it checked.

Look, don't just sit there rubing pain balm on your neck. If you have hypertension, neck pain could mean your pressure is shooting up. Go get your BP checked at a local clinic right away and see what the doctor says.

A stiff or painful neck can sometimes be a sign of a sudden increase in blood pressure, which can be dangerous. Safety first, so please use a digital BP monitor to check your levels at home right away. If the reading is high, visit a clinic immediately.

Yes, many people with high blood pressure complain of tension at the back of the neck and head when their levels are elevated. Try to sit in a quiet room, drink some water, and check your BP. If it stays high, please call your doctor.

I completely understand how terrifying it feels when you have neck pain and start worrying if your blood pressure is dangerously high. It's so easy to spiral into panic. Please try to take a few slow breaths and let a doctor check your readings to reassure you.
