Can hypertension cause joint pain?

High blood pressure has been a part of my life for many years now, and lately, my joint pains have become unbearable. My son thinks it might be connected to my BP. Is it possible for hypertension to cause or worsen joint pain, especially in older age?

Usually high blood pressure does not directly cause joint pain. However, sometimes certain blood pressure medicines can cause aches as a side effect. Please speak to your doctor about this.

I completely panicked when my knees started aching right after I was diagnosed with high BP. Later, my doctor explained it was just a side effect of the new medication they started me on. Once they adjusted the dose, the pain disappeared completely.

Keep your mind peaceful and stay positive, as our thoughts have a deep impact on our physical body. Sometimes age-related stiffness and high blood pressure happen together, but they can be managed. Take good care of your health and consult a physician.

Hypertension doesn't directly cause joint pain. If you are experiencing pain in your joints, it is likely due to uric acid levels, arthritis, or your specific BP medication. Go get a proper blood test done and consult your doctor.

It is not a common direct symptom of hypertension. You should consult your doctor to check if it's a side effect of your blood pressure medicine.

Look boss, high BP doesn't make your joints ache. It is either your weight, lack of activity, or the medicines you are taking. Go straight to your doctor, show them your prescription, and get it sorted out instead of suffering.
