Can hypertension cause back pain?

My blood pressure has been quite high recently, and I've also been suffering from constant lower back pain. My husband thinks the two might be connected. Is it possible for hypertension to cause or contribute to chronic back pain?

Hey there! Sometimes stress can cause both high BP and muscle tension in your back 😊. Just take a deep breath, stretch a bit, and do visit your doctor to be absolutely sure everything is fine!

Ho na, stress can cause such terrible back pain and increase BP at the same time. Actually, when my husband's pressure was high, his back felt very stiff. Better to check with doc once, ho na.

When you have systemic issues like thyroid or hypertension, minor aches can feel amplified. It is always wise to keep getting regular blood tests and kidney function tests done. Please consult your physician to see if the back pain is related.

I am new to managing high blood pressure and I've been feeling a dull ache in my lower back lately. Is there any particular test I should ask my doctor for, or is this just due to bad sitting posture?

My elders always suggested a warm sesame oil massage for back aches. However, if you are also dealing with hypertension, it is very important to consult your cardiologist first. Let them check if there is any other pressure-related issue.

Haan, sometimes extreme high blood pressure can cause a heavy feeling or back ache, but mostly it's just posture na. Fir bhi, ignore mat karo. Ek baar doctor se check up karwa lena hi sahi rahega.

Oh, back pain with high BP can be so worrying, I would be googling all night too! Please don't stress yourself out because that will only increase your pressure more. Just get it checked by a doctor to put your mind at ease.

Look, high blood pressure doesn't typically manifest as back pain unless there's a serious underlying vascular issue. Stop guessing and get your BP checked today. See a doctor to get an accurate diagnosis instead of waiting.
