Can hpv cause ovarian cancer?

My friend was just diagnosed with ovarian cancer, and it's made me really anxious about different cancer risks. I know HPV is linked to cervical cancer, but I'm curious if it can also play a role in developing ovarian cancer. Is there any research or evidence connecting HPV to ovarian cancer?

As someone who regularly gets tested for thyroid and other issues, I know how confusing health info can be. HPV is linked to cervical cancer, not ovarian. Still, getting regular health checkups and ultrasounds is always a good idea.

No, HPV does not cause ovarian cancer. It is mainly responsible for cervical cancer, so don't confuse the two and get unnecessarily worried.

Don't trust random articles online that club all female cancers together with HPV. Talk to a gynecologist to get the correct facts and understand which screenings you actually need.

I went through a terrible phase of anxiety when I got diagnosed with HPV, thinking my whole reproductive system was at risk. It is a very scary feeling, but learning that it doesn't cause ovarian cancer really helped me feel safer.

Hey, don't worry. HPV is linked to the cervix, not the ovaries, so you can tick ovarian cancer off your worry list. Just keep up with your regular Pap smears and you will be completely fine.
