Can homework cause mental health issues?

My daughter is constantly stressed about her school homework, even on weekends. She seems very anxious and sometimes cries. I'm worried if so much homework can actually affect a child's mental health.

Haan na, kids get so stressed because of the heavy workload these days. Unko khelne ka time hi nahi milta aur dimaag par bohot load aata hai. Parents should talk to the school teachers if the daily homework is getting too overwhelming.

Even back in my school days, homework gave me serious mental stress, and today's kids have it five times worse! It's like doing a double shift at a corporate job before they even turn fifteen. A little pressure is okay, but constant stress is definitely not healthy.

Yes, excessive homework can definitely cause severe anxiety and sleep loss in students. Please try to take regular breaks and talk to your parents if you are feeling completely burnt out.

Sitting in one place for hours finishing homework restricts physical movement, which directly affects your mood and hormone levels. Ensure you go out to play or run for at least 45 minutes daily to help manage the academic stress and keep your mind fresh.

If academic pressure or homework is leading to persistent sadness, panic attacks, or extreme sleep disturbances, please do not dismiss it. It is highly advisable to consult a child psychologist or counselor to address these mental health symptoms early.
