Can high sugar cause heart attack?

My sugar levels are often quite high, and my doctor always stresses controlling it for my heart. Does consistently high blood sugar directly increase the risk of a heart attack? I need to understand this better to manage my health.

Yes, chronic high sugar severely damages blood vessels and is a major risk factor for heart attacks. Please consult a doctor immediately.

Agreed. Uncontrolled high sugar is extremely risky for the heart. Please do not delay getting a proper medical checkup and keeping your glucose in check.

Absolutely, high blood sugar levels over time cause arterial blockages, significantly increasing the risk of cardiovascular events. It is highly recommended to consult a cardiologist or endocrinologist to get your sugar managed properly.

High sugar is very dangerous for the heart. Along with your doctor's prescribed medicine, physical activity like a brisk 30-minute daily walk is a great way to manage sugar levels and protect your cardiovascular health.
