Can high sugar cause fever?

My blood sugar has been fluctuating a lot recently, and I also developed a mild fever last week. Could high sugar levels directly cause a fever? I'm trying to understand the symptoms I'm experiencing.

Dekho, high sugar directly fever nahi karta. Lekin jab sugar high hoti hai, toh body mein infection jaldi lagta hai aur us wajah se fever aata hai. Faltu ka wait mat karo, doctor ke paas jao aur sugar level ke sath fever ka checkup karwao.

I was actually researching this online because my dad had a high sugar reading and a mild fever yesterday. Turns out, high sugar weakens immunity, making you prone to urinary or chest infections which trigger the fever. Better to consult a doc.

Haan, diabetes walon ko infection bahut jaldi ho jata hai, jisse fever aa jata hai. Pehle toh sugar check karne wali machine se level naap lo ghar pe. Phir bina der kiye doctor ko dikhao taaki infection ka pata chal sake aur sahi dawa shuru ho.

Actually yaar, high sugar is like an open invitation for bacteria. My mom got a UTI because of high sugar, which led to a sudden high fever. Don't just give paracetamol at home, definitely get a doctor to check for underlying infections.

High blood sugar levels compromise the immune system, making the body highly susceptible to infections that cause fever. Please monitor the temperature and the glucose levels closely, and seek immediate medical consultation to start targetted treatment.
