Can high cholesterol cause a stroke?

My cholesterol levels came back quite high in my last checkup, and my sister recently had a stroke. Is there a direct link between high cholesterol and the risk of having a stroke? I'm very worried about this connection.

Yes, it can because high cholesterol blocks your arteries, which can cut off blood flow to the brain. Clean up your diet, cut out the fried stuff, and add some cardio to your routine. But definitely get a full lipid profile first.

Having garlic and methi water daily can help manage cholesterol naturally, but stroke is a very serious thing. Please don't rely only on home remedies for this. Go to a cardiologist and get proper treatment.

Please get this checked by a professional right away. High cholesterol can lead to plaque buildup, which might trigger a stroke if it blocks brain vessels. It's a major risk factor, so don't delay your medical tests.

It can cause serious blockages, which leads to stroke. Honestly, lipid profile tests are not that expensive, you can get them done for 400-500 rupees at local labs. Better to invest in this test now than face massive hospital bills later.

Ah, this is the scary part of loving butter and street food so much. Yes, cholesterol causes blockages that can lead to stroke. Guess it's time for us to cut down on the chole bhature and get our health checked up.

I went crazy searching the web when my cholesterol report came back high, thinking I was going to get a stroke immediately. My doctor calmed me down and told me that while it is a risk factor, you can easily control it with lifestyle and meds. Don't panic, just act on it.
