Can high bp cause diabetes?

I've had high BP for some years now, and my doctor keeps telling me to manage it carefully. Does having high blood pressure put me at a higher risk of developing diabetes as well? My family has a history of both.

Don't trust random articles online saying high BP directly causes diabetes. They are two different conditions, though they often share the same root cause like obesity or stress. Go get proper blood tests done and consult a real doctor.

They don't directly cause each other, but both are heavily linked to metabolic health. I manage my BP and prevent sugar spikes by eating a strict low-salt, high-fiber vegetarian diet with lots of green veggies. Eating clean is the best shield.

While high BP doesn't directly cause diabetes, having high BP significantly increases your risk of developing insulin resistance. Please get your fasting blood sugar and HbA1c checked regularly just to be safe and catch any changes early.

Listen, don't worry too much. High BP won't suddenly turn into diabetes overnight. They just happen to have similar lifestyle causes. Just focus on a healthy routine, take your walks, and keep your stress low. I'm sure you'll be fine.

Arey, high BP and diabetes are like those two annoying best friends who always go to parties together! One doesn't directly create the other, but if you have one, the other might show up. Just cut down the junk and keep walking!
