Can high blood pressure cause kidney failure?

My doctor keeps telling me to control my high blood pressure for my kidney health. I'm very worried about serious complications. Can high blood pressure eventually lead to kidney failure?

Yes, absolutely. My father neglected his high BP for years and his kidney functions dropped badly last year. We got him on strict medication and lifestyle changes just in time, and his creatinine levels are stable now. Please don't ignore it.

Hey, don't stress too much about the worst-case scenario! Yes, uncontrolled BP can affect kidneys over a long time, but as long as you take your meds and keep a check, you'll be totally fine. Just eat healthy and take it easy, yaar.

Honestly, reading about kidney failure at 2 AM is why my BP is high in the first place! But jokes aside, yes, chronic high BP is a leading cause of kidney issues. Let's both sleep on time, drink water, and see a real doc instead of googling all night.

Aiya, high BP is a real party pooper for us foodies because those extra salty snacks and pickles can harm your kidneys if your pressure stays high. I've switched to low-sodium options and home-cooked treats to keep my kidneys happy.

I have been dealing with high BP for 8 years now. My doctor told me right at the start that high pressure damages blood vessels in the kidneys. That's why I get my kidney function tests done every six months and never skip my walks.

Kidney treatments like dialysis are extremely expensive, so prevention is much cheaper! I highly recommend getting a basic kidney function test (KFT) done during your annual health package. It costs very little and saves you from massive medical bills later.

Drinking warm coriander water and keeping sodium low helps support the kidneys naturally. But beta, if your blood pressure stays consistently high, home remedies alone won't save your kidneys. Go to a good doctor and take proper treatment.
