Can high altitude cause heart attack?

We are planning a family trip to the Himalayas next year, to some really high altitude places. I'm a bit concerned about my heart health. Can being at a very high altitude potentially cause a heart attack?

I had severe breathing issues and high BP during a trip to Ladakh, and it was very scary. High altitude has low oxygen, which puts massive stress on the heart. If you already have heart issues or high BP, please get a proper checkup and doctor's clearance before travelling.

Haan, high altitude pe oxygen kam hoti hai toh heart pe bohot pressure padta hai na. Agar pehle se heart ki problem hai, toh sudden height pe jana dangerous ho sakta hai. Isliye doctor se consult karke acclimatization medicine lekar hi jana chahiye.

While climbing to high places, drinking plenty of water and acclimatizing slowly is very important. However, if anyone feels chest tightness, heavy sweating, or pain in the left arm, these are serious heart attack signs. Do not rely on home remedies; get medical help immediately.

Low oxygen at high altitudes makes the heart pump much faster, raising blood pressure. For people with diabetes or cardiovascular issues, this extra strain can be risky. Keep your blood sugar stable, carry your medicines, and consult your cardiologist before planning any mountain trips.

My uncle always says to take camphor to breathe easy at high altitudes, but honestly, medical science is what we must trust. The low oxygen levels can definitely trigger cardiac issues in vulnerable people. Always consult your doctor for preventive altitude medicines before going.

I love eating hot maggi in the hills, but the climb can really make the heart race! That sudden lack of oxygen is no joke for the heart. If you are going up, avoid heavy, oily meals on the way and keep yourself very hydrated to help your heart cope easily.
